This is the week to shop for fall! Many retailers, including Bloomingdale’s, Neiman Marcus, and Saks Fifth Avenue are having Friends and Family. The question is, how do you take advantage of the savings?
The first thing I advise my clients to do is to figure out what they need for the upcoming season. Once you have that list, it will make shopping these sales a little less overwhelming.
Secondly, I suggesting browsing the catalogs the stores send for the sales, or the store’s websites. I realize it seems old school to browse catalogs, but they often highlight some of the trends of the season.
Now you are ready to walk the stores, and see what speaks to you! As I always tell my clients, some items look better on, than on the hangers.
This is a really good time to buy staples that don’t go on sale like jeans and black pants. It is also a good time to buy items that will sell out quickly and will never get marked down. I have seen a lot of great items at the stores. Some of the items that my clients found that are must for fall are:
