Styling is a large part listening to clients and finding out what their personal style is and will work for them. Making sure they are selecting items they LOVE, and not because it is what everyone else is wearing. It also being creative. Two skills I excel at.
My clients are in different stages of life. Some are going through a life change such as divorce, becoming a new mom, or starting a new job. Many of my clients don’t have time to shop, hate shopping, have tried different styling services that didn’t work, or just are not good at finding items that work for them. Regardless of why the client reaches out to me, my mission is to find items that fit the client’s lifestyle, flatters their body, and makes them feel their best. One of the reasons for using a stylist is to make life a little easier. I make the styling process as efficient, fun, and painless as possible. At the end of our time together I want the client to be excited to get dressed in the morning, not be stressed out about what to wear, and feel confident going to their big work meeting, first date, or whatever that day holds.
Growing up in Wisconsin, I wasn’t surrounded by fashion. However, my parents took me to Chicago, Troy, and Birmingham ,and fell in love with it. After graduating from college with a degree in social science, I opened Bloomingdale’s in Atlanta. Then I moved onto working in marketing. I was able to be creative and use a lot of my skills, but I missed interacting with clients. That is when I decided to start my styling business.
